Its not a good idea but if you do don't open your eyes under water if chlorine gets on the lens it will hurt if they aren't completely flushed from your eyes...so keep wearing the goggles

It is fine. I do it on a daily basis. As long as you wear goggles and none of the water gets in your eyes, it's ok.

possibly... even nonetheless that's relatively helpful to positioned on goggles. i do no longer think of that's terrific to swim around with your eyes open, the touch would rinse away?! relatively i've got not at all seen that, even nonetheless that's a solid question. i think of i might basically positioned on goggles or a mask. besides in all probability getting eye inflammation you ought to lose the lenses, i do no longer think of it is relatively the terrific thought. you ought to call any eye examination/physician and ask, i'm beneficial a lot of human beings have requested in the previous! solid success!

well, technically you shouldn't be opening your eyes in a pool without goggles at all anyway because of the chlorine, and i would probably take them off just to be safe because there is no way you're going to find a contact in the pool

It's not recommended but the use of contact lenses in the pool is perfectly ok... Just remember that chlorine isn't suitable for open eyes underwater. Personal experiences

I do it all the time, pool, ocean, river doesn't bother me all that much except that one time a wave caught me and one contact floated away. Took a while to find my spot on the beach ;-)
