I'm looking for music that is Christian in lyrics but modern in sound.
Is there Christian music with a fallout boys beat? What i currently have is BarlowGirl and Relient K. I like the rock beat, the slow stuff don't do much for me. THANK YOU!!!

Sorry, I don't know what Fallout Boy sounds like. But I can recommend some bands/singers that are more 'fun' than adult contemporary Christian music. Rebecca St. James, dc talk, Tobymac (from dc talk but he does solo stuff now), Audio Adrenaline, OC Supertones, POD, Switchfoot, Skillet, Hawk Nelson, etc.

Toby mac is my all time favorite...thats mostly hip hop-- DC Talk is way awesome too, and that is more like the fallout boys, go to any christian stores, they should have lots of music you would be looking for.......I recommend Family Christian Stores

I do listen to Christian music but I am afraid that I can't help you with your choice. I am obviously older and listen to a different style of Christian music. I haven't heard of those. Good luck and happy listening.

Peace Be With You,
Debra

Hi!

This is a good question.

Now I will try to show you the truth even if it may be that some people may disagree with me...But the truth will always prevail.

If someone is in Christ, He must not try to be like the people of the world even in in his music.

God's music is different from the world's and if you come across Christian artists who compose songs that seem to remind you of the life you lived outside the Kingdom of God, they are likely NOT living RIGHT with the Lord.

Why do I say that? Jesus said that can good tree produce evil fruit or vice versa? Ofcoarse not. Therefore if an artists who claims to be Christian seem to be drawn to compose songs that please the flesh instead of pleasing the spirit, then you are bound to find a lot of carnality in his daily lifestyle.

One may say, "But as long as the words of the song are Christian, the music is fine"...

Well my answer to this is that, actually God never told us to mark out anti-Christians by their words but by their fruits. One can still sense "fruits" in words but words themselves are not fruit.

SATAN is not ignorant of the Word of God written in the bible. He knows it probably better than most Christians...(but what he does not have is a REVELATION of the Holy Spirit). I can give you one account where Satan quoted scripture:

Matthew 4:6

-and (Satan) said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is WRITTEN, "'He will command his angels concerning you,' and "'On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

From this verse you will notice that Satan literally spoke scripture of the bible with his own mouth! Now Satan is not afraid to use the Word of God to get people to sin or do something that is not purely of God. He is able to encourage carnal(worldly) Christian ARTISTS to do song THAT WOULD PLEASE THE FLESH, but not the Holy Spirit.

If Satan knows that rave "gospel" will keep your flesh happy and not your spirit, he will keep influencing Christian artists who refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit to compose such so called "Christian music"

So it is better to stay away from Christian artists who want to appear or sound like the people of this world:

Get artists like Don Moen, Brooklyn Terbanicle Choir, Michael W.Smith, Lenny Le Blanc, Israel Houghton, Worship cd's, Hillsong.

Even if you may not understand all that I have written here for now, just obey this advice and one day you will thank God you did.

God bless you.
Hug!
