Chicago is AWESOME. It would be perfect for you to visit if you're from the midwest because it's a midwestern big city - meaning everyone there is pretty nice. When you're downtown, you can't even see the tops of the huge skyscrapers like the John Hancock or the Sears Tower because they are so big. There are so many people walking down the sidewalk that there's just this buzz of energy everywhere you go. It gets pretty hot downtown in the summer, but if you head to Navy Pier you can cool off on the shore of Lake Michigan. You can find the greatest restaurants there, like the Berghoff for amazing German food, or Ed Debevic's for just a fun time. I really hope you get a chance to go sometime, it's an amazing city with great museums, the Shedd Aquarium, amazing shopping down Michigan Avenue, and fun entertainment at night.

Chicago is a great city. I suggest that if you go the first thing you do in any city is take a full day tour. You don't get to see anything for very long 15-20 minutes but you can go back to the things you are interested in and not waste time with things you aren't. Chicago has great music, museums, bars, pizza oh the pizza, restaurants, hotels, parks, statues, photographic scenes, the people are fantastic, Navy Pier, even the city is layed out so well. You wouldn't be sorry to go to the city.

I am born there and I am telling you it really just depends on where you go in chicago. The Navy Peir is pretty cool, but if you just like roaming the streets, then it is very dirty and the people are always in a hurry.

It look like Ney York City- kinda... IT"S SO AWESOME! You name it they got it. They have lots of museums if your kinda like a museum person. If your a high-end type of shopper people come to Michigan Avenue from all over the world! If you just want to enjoy yourself and wonder around and just have fun, then take a free trolly to Navy Peir and enjoy the rides and childerens musueum if you have little kids. Enjoy!

people are people no matter where you go. You meet all kinds. It's also up to you - what you think people are like - that's who they are for you.
Chicago is nice. Too hot in summer and too cold in winter, but still nice.
it's crowded and mostly not that clean. But there's a lot to see, tons of places to go to.
restaurant are really good. different dining experiences at each of them, different cuisine, you can find whatever you want.

It depends on where in Chicago you go. We Chicagoans are outspoken, fun loving people. There are some rough neighborhoods as well as very affluent ones. If you just visit the touristy areas, yes, people will be nice because they are in the business of trying to please people.

Its windy and very busy. If your driving there, people are rude but don't take it personally. The shopping and nightlife are really good.

Dirty, everyone's in a hurry, but the stores and hotels are so big and free, it's really exciting to go there.
