I believe that any country can be great. It all depends on yourself. If you are able to get social with the people they all turns to be fantastic. I experienced this in Vietnam. I travelled all over there and made friends with a nice (though poor) family. The best guide to a country you can imagine is the people. Show some love and respect and you will see how great any country is.

I think Thailand is the best choice. Overthere has many kinds of attraction like beach, cutural attractive places, waterfalls and the famous foods like Tom Yam Kung and Pad Thai.
Morover, the hotel in Thailand is very luxurious but cheap. Many 5 stars hotel is not over than 1000 USD.

Vietnam! to be more specific North Vietnam. It's very safe, reasonable and beautiful. Hanoi is a picturesque city and the surrounding landscape is breath taking. But there is no night life there to speak of. The place shuts down before midnight.
