I have 2 operating system isntalled, but I know that can cause problems, so I want to get rid of one. I'm talking about Windows XP Home Edition and Windows 2000 Professional.....how can I uninstall Windows 2000?? I wanna keep XP!!!

youll need the xp cd
as far as i know the only way would be to completely reinstall xp
and delete the other partition in the process

if you just delete the partition you will lose all that space cause xp wont just add it to the partition its on

wow the reason you got two operating systems is because you installed 2000 after XP, I am assuming. In any case if you delete the partition, you also need to edit the bootfile that contains the choice of operating systens and erase windows 2000. You should do this first before you erase the partition just incase you edit the wrong thing.

If Win 2000 is on a separate hard drive or partition, then make a boot disk, restart Windows with disc in and erase Win 2000 by using fdisk. This article might help you, print it: http://www.d-silence.com/feature.php?id=246

Go to your control panel, click on add/remove hardware then scroll down until you reach the one you want to remove. It is fairly easy just make sure that all of your programs will run under Windows XP

as long as your operating systems are on different partitions its ok. if you want to delete the partition you will need a bottable fdisk floppy. if you don't have a fdisk download it to a floppy from here

You need to reinsall windows XP. It will explain at startup what your options and ask you what to run
