It depends on what you mean by the word 'alive'. In an ontological sense God is very much alive and at work in the lives of people today.
And Im not sure Trading Standards would do much since the church isnt actually trading. If you give money to a church you know it will be spent on upkeep etc and that it isn't compulsory. They will let you 'meet' God whether you pay or not.

If you are sad enough to want to waste the time of Trading Standards officers on this matter, you are a sorry person. However, Trading Standards are unlikely to take the case up as it involves no money and the only person upset by these signs is you!

Not a thing. The sign doesn't say inside of the church does it.It just says inside.Could be inside of anywhere or anything.Next time just cross the road and you will not see this offending sign,or just don't bother reading it.Or better still change your route, so you don't even have to pass the church.WWW3 on the horizon and you are worried about a sign, give me strength.

The language of your question is every bit as difficult to decipher as your logic.
Of course people in churches believe that God exists and can be known to one degree or another. Yes, they disagree with agnosticism. Would they be as justified in claiming that you're lying as you would be in claiming that they're lying?
Why are agnostics so certain that they cannot be certain about God? Isn't this a self-defeating proposition?

Some churches will say and do anything to get people to attend their church - it's all legal. But you can voice your opinion here and you can even say what church it was, but fighting a church would be a difficult job. "The pen is mightier than the sward!" Remember that!

Good point. That is blatant. Write to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
