war. It started when Hizbullah kidnapped one Israeli soldier a month ago, couple of two more soldiers this week and killed many more in order to get some of their prisoners back (all of them are murderers).
The Israelis weren't willing to negotiate with the terrorists and after the last events the Israeli forces started to bomb Hizbullah's posts in Lebanon.
The war is not against the Lebanese people, it is against Hizbullah, but the Lebanese regime is too weak to resist Hizbullah's activites in Lebanon and get 'em out of there. since Hizbullah is hiding inside civilian population centers, many Lebanese people got hurt.
Hizbullah is attacking the Israeli population as well as its army and everyone get killed!
Right now the missiles got souther than we thought and even the Amakim (=valleys, the area where I live in) is under attack.

Hezbollah terrorist crossed into Israel and kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers and bombed an Israeli battleship. After Hezbollah's refusal to return the soldiers the Israeli government began to Bomb Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah wanted this so that they could gain credibility because they have been losing some in recent months. Hezbollah didn't expect the Israelis to attack as intensely as they have. Now Iran who pulls there strings are hoping Israel actually invades Southern Lebanon for this will incite great anti semitism throughout the Middle East. That would be very good for the fascist in power in Iran. It gives the credibility amongst the Muslims that hate Israel. Hezbollah on the other hand are going to take a serious beating and probably return to covert terror attacks throughout the world instead of being such a Major player. There military arsenal with either be depleted or destroyed. Power in Lebanon will be restored to the people and government in that country.

Israel stole land from the Palestinians in 1948, and it has kept on stealing and murdering them ever since.
So the Palestinians and other Arabs organized to fight back against the Jewish invaders.
Then America gave lots of money and weapons to the Jews, making Israel much technologically and financially superior to the Arabs - it has never really been a "fair fight."
So Israel captured some Hezbollah soldiers.
So Hezbollah captured some Israeli soldiers.
So Israel attacks Beiruit and starts killing Lebanese civilians.
So the other Arabs get angry with Israel, too.
This is middle east politics. Who says it is complicated?

Many years of turmoil, mis understandings, and most countries want Israel out of the middle east. What is happening now with lebanon is, that 6 years ago, Israel withdrew, Israel is inside her own border, then suddenly, terrorists came across the border, killing soldiers and kidnapped 2, and that is again the U.N. resolutions. As this, if you are in your own country, and suddenly attacked by another, then what would your reaction be?

Well, the palestinians kidnapped a jewish soldier. then Israel, rightly, struck back. Then Hezbollah, in Lebanon, (which is a terrorist organization) started firing missles into Israel. Now we have a full scale war. Some of the Hezbollah missles are coming from Iran. Iran made them and they are of longer range than Iran previously had.

Israel is trying to destroy and kill a small, beautiful, peaceful country called Lebanon because Israel wasn't ready to accept it when some guys from Lebanon tried to resist its occupation of part of their land (called "Shebaa farms") and its captivation of more than 9,000 people in the Israeli prisons which have a formal license from their Supreme Court to torture prisoners if they are Arabs! That's all what is going on today in Israel! Anything else you hear from the media (especially the US media) is just lies, nonsense, and bias to the killers.

The same thing that has been going on for like 3 thousand years.
One side does or says something the other side doesn't like. The other side over reacts and starts bombing the hell out of everything.
Both sides fight for several months before the rest of the world forces them to sign a cease-fire.
