It really depends on the country. In some, like Jordan and Egypt, they are tolerated. In others, they are driven underground. There is a concept called "dhimmi" that means treating non-Muslims like lesser citizens, small children that need protection and guidance--and can have freedoms relinquished at any time. It is practiced in many ways.

Depends on the country.

In Saudi Arabia, no religious worship except Islam is allowed. Nor are non-Islamic religious texts allowed - no Bible, no Torah, etc.

In the Arabian countries, all the Jews were kicked out upon the creation of the state of Israel, and were forced to leave with what they could carry.

In other Islamic countries, there is some tolerance of other religions. Turkey and Indonesia, for example.

Let's just say that Muslim countries are not hotbeds of freedom or tolerance.

Sharia regulation is surely the comparable as Christian scholars accumulating punishments and crimes from the Bible, including some misogyny and medieval human rights violations and different culturally suitable BS then calling it despite the Latin be conscious for regulation is. "Sharia" actually only potential "regulation" or "way" in Arabic. it is frequently guy-made and the Quran does not define one criminal, political and economy that an perfect "Islamic" united states of america is to be run on. The Quran itself does not help this utopian concept of sharia. "to each of you God has prescribed a regulation and a fashion. If God could have willed, He could have made you a single human beings. yet God's purpose is to attempt you in what he has given each of you, so attempt interior the pursuit of distinctive function, and understand which you will all return to God [interior the Hereafter], and he would be sure all the problems in which you disagree."  [Quran "The table unfold" 5:40 8] Muslims stay only superb interior the West and there somewhat isn't any such element as infidel regulation neither is democracy a criminal equipment or form of regulation. Sharia and democracy are actually not jointly unique seeing as they are 2 various issues. i'm a Muslim Westerner and prefer I pronounced above I reject the full seen sharia regulation and am completely happy with a mundane democratic state that doesn't infringe on it is electorate' suitable to prepare the religion of their determination freely.

Now that the US invaded illegally, all Iraq citizens are living under Sharia law per their new constititution. Thanks US. Not!

Iran was a democracy once also but the US/British sponsored a coup in the 1950s over turning that.
