Hi Im leaving for Mexico in a couple days, I have about a six hour flight so I want to pack some snacks in my carry-on. I know there are certain types of foods you cant bring through customs over the border. I was just thinking of getting some snacks like crackers, peanuts, candy, ect. Are these ok?

Thanks so much.

Chips, cookies, crackers and candy should be fine. Fruits and vegetables are forbidden. If you want to take anything through customs I would recommend that it be sealed, still in the manufactures wrapper. Anything you are eating on the plane, just be sure to finish it, then you wont have any problem!

When my husband and I went to Cancun , we had a lay-over in Houston. He ended up buying a fortune cookes from Panda Express...it was enough to get us through the flight to Mexico. We also bought Space Ice Cream for fun. But seriously, I suggest something light because they will provide snacks on the plane. Have a fun and safe trip!
