There are a lot of things that can contribute to recurring bloody noses. A big one is dry air. Try sleeping with a humidifier on at night. Another trick is to take some neosporin-type ointment and put it on a q-tip and rub it just inside the nose. If you are still having a lot of nose bleeds you may need the doctor to do a simple procedure that seals off the blood vessels that rupture causing the nose bleeds. You need to give it a chance to heal also. If you've had a bad nose bleed wait a day or two before swimming since the constant blowing of air through the nose is knocking loose the "scab" (essentially) and causing the nose to bleed all over again.

1. don't pick your nose
2. bloody nose during swimming is because of pressure swings while diving, or mechanical shock while jumping into the water. your nose is probably more sensitive than the average so try to avoid doing those things
3. best way: go to the doctor and have the red spot in your nose cauterized

Although there may not be a way to prevent them, you might wanna get your tonsils checked. That can be the reason.
