What kind of cage do have? If it's one with a door that slides up and down you have less worries. Quite a few years ago we had a cat and a bird in the same house, in the same rooms. Our cat would always mess with the bird until one day the bird grabbed the cat through the lip and would not let go. The cat did not bother the bird again. Now, we have a ferret and a bird. Our ferret tries to turn over the bird cage, but we supervise their so called play time together. You could try training your cat, it might work, but don't think that there's something wrong with you for having a bird and cats together like some of the other answers say. Hope this helps.

My aunt has two cats and a bird. She keeps the bird locked away in a separate room all the time where the cats can't get to him. You can try to train your cat until the cows come home, but unfortunately you are battling against millions of years of ingrained survival instincts. Even if you succeed in training them- as soon as you're gone, all your hard work will go right out the window.
Good luck, man.

You may have a difficult time with this. As predators, the chase response is hard-wired in cats. There are absolutely exceptions with cats that can live happily with birds, mice, and other small animals, but if your cats are already actively trying to get to your birds, the most important thing will be to ensure that they physically can't and that they never get a chance to get at the birds.

every time that they try and go for ur birds spray them with water just one squirt and say no I'm not saying that it will work immediately but after awhile all u should have to do is say no when u see them tryin to go for it and they should listen cause they know that they will get squirt (and if u want then everytime they listen to u then u could like give them a treat)

Every time your cats try and get the birdies you spray them with water. Make sure you say NO in a stern voice too.. reinforce that you mean it. *eventually* they will get it. It depends on your cats personality too so you have to be patient. Don't worry, a little water won't hurt them!

Hang a birdcage from the ceiling away from anything the cat can climb onto.
