I got pregnant the first time at 17. I miscarried. Then I got pregnant 4 months later while using the patch as birth control. That baby is now a beautiful 2 1/2 little girl. I got pregnant again when my daughter was 2 months old. I conceived that baby on the nuva ring. She is now a beautiful 1 1/2 little girl. It's because of my kids that I am going back to college next year. I was going last year but had to drop out due to many financial problems. It's something that I won't let myself give up. When I had my first child, I knew I wanted to be a registered nurse and work in the maternity ward at our local hospital. I want to be a part of bringing innocent life into the world. Their father and I love them very much. It's amazing that I will get a hug and kiss when I first wake up. My oldest says to me "Hi mommy," when I wake up. My kids changed my life in every way possible, but they changed me for the better. A lot of people say that they regret having kids at a young age. I'm glad I did.

I'm not on welfare, never have been
I'm getting married sometime next year to my daughters' father.
I finished high school with a 4.0 and I'm going to college next year.
Not all young parents turn out like trash.

I got pregnant when I was 14. I miscarried but 3 days later (on my wedding night) got pregnant again. I am 21 and have 4 children now. 2 by my marriage and 2 by my fiance. Having children is no joke ok. It is very hard especially on a young mother. Everybody stares when you go somewhere, its so hard to rent a home because of your age, school and work take up all your time. When I decided to get pregnant I was no where near being ready. And yes by now I would probably have been in college, having parties, and being a youth. And I really wish that I had waited but I am a mom and I love every minute I'm with my kids. My regret is not finishing college or getting a home first. My children DESERVE that. And every child out there does to.

I was pregnant at 17 had my son at 18. Then 2 girls to follow by the time I was 20.

I graduated with a 3.7 GPA. I am proud of all my children, It made me more responsible, mature and I am a great mother. So, I started early but when I'm 40 all my children will be graduated. I will still be able to enjoy my life. I am 23 with 2 new cars, a 4 bedroom house a good job and a wonderful supportive husband. I think having children young was good for me. Granted I haven't begun my career yet but I still have time for that.

People choose how having a child will effect their life, its all how you deal with it.

I got pregnant for the first time when I was 19. My then boyfriend was 17. We got married when I was about 6 months along, and by the time I had her I was 20 and my hubby was 18. Yes, it was very hard!! We have had our ups and downs. Having kids early can cause problems....you lose your social life....at least the one you are used to. I had to drop out of college right before finals b/c I had my baby. But, if you want to badly enough, you can make it work. My hubby and I are still togehter 9 years later, and now have 3 kids...have been thru even more ups and downs, but still going strong. With very happy children. And now, finally at 28 years old, I am able to go back to college and get my teaching degree. It can be done, but expect a lot of detours and rough roads ahead...but also a lot of laughter and joy of a child!!

How old are you??

I got pregnant at 17 and was still a senior in high school. I finished out the year and graduated. Then I went on to take night classes to get my Emergency Medical Technician certification. I work with a local 911 service and I wouldn't change a thing. I love my son and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It did change a lot in my life, but it was worth it.

yes i got pregnant at a young age when i was 16 and now i'm 18 it's not bad being a mom i enjoy it because you get to hear their first words you get to see their first steps and when they are born they smell you to get your scent to know that your their mother it's not always easy but you will understand what i mean when you give birth to your child it changed my life because it not me alone i have to think about anymore but the little one i created it is a feeling i wont change for the world because i love my son the only thing is going to school when you have a baby at a young age is hard but if you have people to help you then it wont be that hard for you you always have to be prepared with baby because they need love attention and all of your time but it pays when you do and good luck with your baby

Not me personally but I know people who have - those who gave up the baby were able to have "normal" lives after because the baby didnt impact them financially the 2 that I know who kept the baby have messed up lives and their kids lives are basically pathetic as well....
neither are with the "fathers"
neither have graduated school
neither have good paying jobs (one is on welfare)
both resent their kids
neither will be able to afford braces or college for their kids
neither will even be able to provide a stable environment for their kids
both live in run down rental property
one is on drugs and drinks - the other I am not sure about

basically it ruined their lives and the lives of the kids who will not have positive futures and will probably repeat their parents errors and continue the cycle
