Absolutely. It saves money and conserves our natural resources. I sealed up all of the jalousie windows in my house and put a pressure flap over the kitchen exhaust fan to save air conditioning. I put 2 bricks in my toilet tank to save water and I intstalled a shower cutoff type shower head that I can shut off while I soap up in the shower. I have also installed ceiling fans in every room in the house. The real key to saving on electricity is cutting down on the things that are high wattage use devices; usually those that generate heat. I try to use the oven less by using the microwave and the electric dryer less by hanging clothes outside when it's sunny. Also I have a timer on my hot water heater that turns in on just before I get home from work and off around 9:00 pm.

Hippies saved the most water in the 60's and 70's, they showered with a friend! Try it, it works!

On a serious note.....turn off the water when brushing your teeth. Tooth brushing with the water running, three times a day, wastes millions of gallons, of precious water, by all of us, each year.

Gave up my daily and Sunday paper. Now get the news, etc on line. I wonder how many trees I have saved?
