NO WAY DONT GIVE IT AWAY charge as much as possible this way you can make sure the person actually wants the kitten if they are willing to pay for it. Everybody will have anything for free

If the kitten is purebred, you can do a search on the average price for that breed. Subtract a little, if you have no papers of pedigree and do not have the parents for proof.
If the kitten is a mix, then it depends on the amount of money you've spent on this kitten with vet visits, shots, etc.

Kitens. Adorable.... The going rate seems to be £40 - £80, depending on the type of kitten. Certain kittens are rarer. Ginger females for example. I recently got a ginger female to replace Goldie who died some months ago - the vet took delight in telling me that I had a healthy and happy bouncing little boy kitten!...

pure-breed or just a mixed kitten? if its mixed free or whatever the cost you put in it. For example to get the kitten dewormed it might cost $10 and to get her the first shots it might cost $30 then charge $40 for the kitten and make sure to tell people that you have provided deworming and shots. If pure-breed search the name online and see what the going rate is.

I'd rather a pay an animal centre for a rescue cat than pay money to somebody who has bred an animal for profit,, regardless of pedigree etc,
not having a pop at you, just feel that abandoned animals and the centres that care for them are much more in need of the cash.
besides,, a stuck up persian isn't half as much fun or nearly as lovable as my scruffy looking silvery grey tom cat,Check my 360 4 a pic.he's the coolest,,

Some people give them away 'free to a good home'. Most charge between £10-£20. Any more and you're having a laugh.

Here in America, you can usually get kittens free.
I had to pay ten dollars for my cat, but I mean it
was little two little girls making money for it.
But the free/ and cheap ones are mixes.
Pedigrees- my friend bought her mini tiger showing
cat, that she doesn't show, for $1,200, and my cat is
so much better.
I guess that best things in life are free (or close to free)!

You shouldnt have to pay for a moggie although if you get one from a shelter you can donate.
Pedigree cats can cost from £300+, my 2 British Shorthair cats cost me £350 each. Some rare breeds can cost up to £80,000! Thats for a rare Bengal. Although mine were expensive, they are worth it as they are beautiful and unusual in colour.
