A war on terrorism can never be war because war is terrorism. It's amazing how many cannot grasp that simple fact.

The question should have been If we answer a terrorist attack by invading a country that had nothing to do with that attack, how are we different from the terrorists? The answer is we are worse than the terrorists. They sadisticly murdered three thousand innocent people for no real reason. We have killed tens of thousands for no real reason. We should go after the real terrorists.

We are different because we seek to defend ourselves and mostly to protect others from murderers!!!

If we did not do that and left them alone to carry on killing we would be just as guilty of the murders as they are. In fact it would be far worse because by not fighting back we would be encouraging them to murder more and more. That would in effect put more blood on our hands than theirs.

Would you accept 9/11 or 7/7 without doing anything about it?

Everyone has a right to self defence and no one has the right to unprovoked attack or murder.

An excellent point.
How can a nation that says it is fighting terrorism, allow it's soldiers to rape and murder children and claim it has the "moral high ground". And how can they ask thier enemies to abide by the Geneva convention when they themselves use things like; flechette rounds, White Phosphorus on civilians, and Depleted Uranium rounds. All of which are banned by the Geneva Convention.

Basically, because they started it. Not the best answer, but officially we are defending ourselves while they are attacking us for our way of life. It's horrible that we have to escalate violence to protect ourselves, but the alternative might mean more attacks on us.

if we answer every terrorist attack with nothing, how do we continue to exist

also, get a list of all the terrorist attacks...all the rockets, every suicide bomb...and look to see if we responded to each one. you'll be quite surprised

If we do nothing but sit on our hands after every terrorist attack they'll become more frequent.

You want us to just sit by and die??

Thats just it were not. All countries have involved its RELIGION. Religion causes wars and killing, to protect there loving God they kill it won't stop until we all stop the Religions. The killing After death and suffering; humanity's greatest crime against humanity is the clouding of free thought; and thus the spread of racism, religion and other forms of ignorance are equally criminal.

won't stop until we all stop thr Religions.
