The reciept says that you can return an item within 30 days depending on what type of item it is. I am concerned if a skip dr to repair cds isn't returnable because I used it.

No, just take the reciept and the item back. They are so freakin focused on customer satisfaction that it is funny. You can't return stuff like batteries or something, but the skip dr. should have no problem.

Something like that you shouldn't have a problem returning. You couldn't know it was damaged without trying to use it. They may require you to exchange it for the exact item rather than issue a refund/store credit, but it's not software, so I don't see why they would do that.

No, as long as you have the receipt and it is within the 30 days you should have no problem returning it to the store.

I don't know if it is returnable or not, but Best Buy has the worst return policy all the way around. Good luck.

all you can do is take the item back and state that it doesn't work and that you would earthier like a replacement or your money back but don't forget to take the receipt with you as well.
