You're best bet is probably Easton or Cambridge. They are right along Rt. 50 and about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to Ocean City. They are pretty big towns so you should be able to find something nice. The best place to go to get a deal is Hotel.com

I'm actually headed there this Friday. I would stop in Annapolis...they have plenty of hotels there because of the Naval Academy.
I'm sure you can find a great deal (and great restaurants!)

Have you ever used google maps? It's great. If you use Google earth, too, you will be able to see these motels. Check it out!

Richmond is best and it is 100 miles from DC
