I shave my arm pits just cause I think hairy pits are nasty. Is it wrong to do so?

no, it's not wrong and i wish other men would follow your lead. Do you have any idea how disgusting it is to have to look at some guys hairy, nasty, wet pit with nasty wet deodorant on top that looks like mayonaise,ewwwwwww!

It's all your perception. Rather than wonder "is this gay", you should ask yourself if you have some sort of "clean" obsession. And obsession is when your mind tells you you have to do something so much it starts interfering with your life.
If it doesn't then screw it, do what you want, it's America.
