We had HORRIBLE ticks in our backyard about 6 months ago. My German shorthair had 10-15 ticks in each of his ears at one point. Each of my dogs are on Frontline, but that didn't seem to work. We finally found a product that works great for spraying the yard. It's called Hi-Yield Insect Control. It comes in a concentrate, and there are a few different percentage levels (some are much stronger than others). It's somewhat difficult to find -- check a local feed store or farm supply store. We sprayed our yard once, and sprayed again 10 days later to stop the egg cycle, and we haven't seen ticks again.
Also, try spreading sulfur around the fence line. You can get it at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc... Ticks won't cross over sulfur, which will stop ticks from the neighbor's yard, ally, whatever, coming in your yard. Good luck!

Make sure that when you are removing the ticks from your dog-USE TWEEZERS. You can get diseases from a tick simply by touching it while removing it from your dog.
To get rid of them for good- really the only thing you can do is bathe her frequently with shampoo specifically formulated to kill fleas and ticks. Then try to notice where she's getting these ticks and keep her away from those places. If you only walk her in parks and neighborhoods, then her chances of getting ticks again will decrease dramatically.

three ways I know of..pull them off with tweezers.being careful not to break off the leggs, burn them off by blowing out a match and touching it to the underside of the tick and one I heard about yesterday, which was to soak a cotton ball in liquid soap and cover the tick in it..and swab the tick until it lets go and sticks to the cotton ball.

OMG... but dont panic. My dog had ticks. She was so annoyed!!! But we bought a special powder. You put it over your dogs fur. It is guarantied to kill ticks. There is also spray for dogs that prevents ticks. Also there is shampoo to prevent it. Dont worry. or bring him to the vet if those things dont work.

oh ... poor baby
make an appointment with your vet first
then buy a tick collar to kill those eggs...
If the ticks already got to her burn the ticks out with a small needle
but ... definetly go to the vets!

If your dog has eggs then they aren't ticks. They are fleas and you need to take care of them for your dog's sake and your own.

Just keep washing her and see if your vet has a special type of medicine your dog can use.
