Try the link below. It has an article about how certain foods can help you lose weight. It is however not a be all and end all way to slim down. Some exercise is always needed, however eating right is important as well. And yes ... diet dont work. Have a balance diet but try to increase the intake of the food recommanded by the article and you will see results.

You really can't. You can try eating less but your body will adapt and go into starvation mode and you'll stop losing.
Exercise is absolutely KEY to losing weight. You need to make time if your health is important to you. You can cut out TV and computer time or get a treadmill or exercise bike to use while doing those sedentary things.

If you don't have time to exercise then aim to modify your diet. Increase your fruits and vegetables, cut down on your carbs, eat less fatty/fried food, and watch your sugars. You should also watch your meal portions. It's not just what you eat, but also how much of it you eat that contributes to your weight. Eating more frequent and smaller meals helps to maintain some consistency to you metabolism allowing you to burn calories more efficiently. Don't skip breakfast. Many people think by skipping meals, especially breakfast they'll cut back on calories and lose weight, not so. Skipping meals actually slows your metabolism causing you to burn less calories. Eating breakfast has been shown to jump start (so to speak) you metabolism and increase that caloric burn. Finally, increase your water consumption.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Sleep 8 hours a day. Break your food into 8 small meals that have a good mix of the basic food groups. Stay the hell away from white bread, french fries and sugared food products.

You can't lose weight without some form of exercise. Try walking everywhere and climbing steps. It's better than nothing.
