Sitting in a hot room will have no effect. While you might lose a little weight from sweating, it will come right back when you drink something. Contracting and releasing your abs actually does help to tighten those muscles. But, to really lose your tummy, you'll need to do more than that. A healthy, lower calorie diet, cardio exercise, and weight training would be the right combo. So, take the hour and go for a walk, do some ab crunches, etc. It will have a much better effect.

no, don't be lazy, instead of just sitting there do some crunches. Im telling you crunches work.. or if you think your ready to get into shape go out and buy a jump rope, and try to do it like boxers do. Takes time to learn but effects are EXCELLENT>

Better Idea is to go for a walk. 45minutes of brisk walking will gradually reduce your tummy. Control your diet too- that is more important.
