Well, this is a hard question, but the Bible says that all can see that there's a God by His creation and invisible qualities, so we are without excuse. Honestly, the Indians tried-really hard. You know all the spirits and gods that they had? They did believe that there was a God, and tried to worship the only way they really knew how. So I think that they could have gone to heaven-but who am I to judge? All I know is that God is a just God and won't forget them. Also, each individual is different!

Who was there Great Spirit and How do you know that Jesus didn't appear to them after the Resurrection no i wouldn't say it is fair at all to say this and many people who claim to be Christian have no clue at all what it is to be a true Christian a Child of the Most High God and Brother or Sister of Jesus Christ it is people like this that try to change the way a person looks on the outside that give true Christians a bad name to the unbelieving world I really can understand why the unbelievers feel the way they do towards Christians but these are not true Christians they are looking at a true Christian would give all even his life for another.

From the point of view of a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I would point out the verse in 1 Peter 4:5-6 in the Bible,"Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick (living) and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit." If people live without knowledge of the full Gospel of Jesus Christ in this life, when they die their spirits go to the spirit world, where they are instructed in a kind and complete way about the mission of Jesus Christ. Then it is up to them whether or not they wish to accept it. There is more to life than meets the eye, and the Final Judgment has not occurred yet. We are still looking forward to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Also, I believe that the Native Americans did have prophets who taught the Gospel of Christ, but at some point in time the majority of the people decided to believe in a polytheistic idolatrous religion instead. The Book of Mormon helps to explain when and where and how that occurred. Have a happy day!

You see, human beings do not get to be the Judge. No man can say who is damned and who is not. It ain't your place. No human knows the Will of the Almighty. I was Christian until I had a vision. Now I am free. There is no judgment Across the River and the only Hell is not eternal, but forged by the living and the deeds done in this place. Forever is longer than Time. You can't do anything here that merits a FOREVER anything. Mortals have no grasp of the truly immense span of time (interval) of which they so blithely speak.

But who's to say Christianity is right about hell? It's not even a Christian concept, rather one that was borrowed from the belief system of Zoroastrianism in order to help control the people and scare them into living a certain way and following certain rules. It's ignorant to believe that anyone who doesn't worship Jesus is automatically going to hell... does that mean priests who molest little boys go to heaven just because they still worship Jesus and ask his forgiveness?

Do Christians really believe that all the people of the earth who do not accept Jesus or have never heard of him are not going to a mythical place that probably does not exist. Is that a Christians idea of justice and mercy? Hell is a concept conceived by the burning pits for disposal of garbage in ancient times according to history.

What a shortsighted way of seeing things. Doesn't Christiannity teach acceptance and tolerance? It would be extremely hypocritical for a God, assuming that it even exists, to send "non believers" or "people who have different beliefs" straight to this "Hell" concept, rather than this "Heaven" concept, assuming again that both of these exist.
Christians aren't necessarily "right", and muslims, jews, hindus, etc, aren't necessarily "wrong". No one has the truth.
But just to expand your initial question, what do you make of people that lived before "Jesus", before "Moses", before "Abraham" ? What do you make of people that lived in tribes over 10000 years ago? Early Humans? It is not known if Cro Magnon man actually buried their dead and thus had knowledge of ritual... so what happened if they did, heaven or hell? and what happens if they didn't? heaven or hell... or nothing at all?

Are you asking if Christianity is fair?
Either you're still very young or you haven't read much about Christianity...
It's solely a religion of exclusion, of moral superiority and condemnation of any who thinks differently.
Of course Native Americans are in Hell! The good Christians who slaughtered them en masse, on the other hand, are having tea with God at this very moment, because they had accepted Jesus as their personal Saviour

Acts 17:29-30 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
There were times that God winked at men's ignorance, not because they deliberately choose to be ignorant but they had to real knowledge of the truth.
God is just and therefore His judgement will be more fair than any human judge or court system, so let him be God He knows what's best all the time every time.

I am a Christian, raised in a Christian family. I have been taught, and have read in the Bible, that everyone in their lifetime has been or will be given a chance to come to know Jesus. I have always believe that God possibly sent an angel to them or tried to reach them in other ways before the white man.
