A Nissan Primera is a good reliable car and about the 3 previous owners it depends how they looked after it. Look about to see if the car and engine (inside and out) are clean then u'll know.
Gd luck (y)

OK, couple of things with Primeras... firstly what sort of engine does it have? If it's the diesel, they aren't the best diesels to buy -a bit of a dog in fact - the design is several years behind European 9and particularly French) diesels of similar age. Secondly (less likely if you;re a girl) are you anywhere around 6 foot because they have rather an odd driving position - make sure it's comfy for you on a reasonable long drive.... Suspension is designed for super flat Japanese roads - make sure it's not too harsh when driving over an uneven surface.
Don;t be too surprised if the engine is a bit dirty - the Primera's engine bay is quite open and does leave the engine exposed to grime and dirt - it doesn;t seem to hurt them though.
Finally the headlights are a stupid design and get really filthy in winter so you WILL be cleaning them at least every other day (a minor point but annoying if you forget and have to get out in bad weather to clean them)...
However, serviceable enough cars and reasonably reliable. Ask to see proof the cambelt has been replaced as this will need doing and can be hellishly expensive if it breaks...
As regards your main concern, the Registration (log book/V5) document should have details of last 2 owners on - 3 owners not too bad over 7-8 years and if each has had it about 2-3 years is not bad. Also if car was sold by a mian dealer as 'pre reg' to help make their sales target may be that the original selling dealer is classed as the first owner....

If your not sure, I would get the AA or the RAC to come out and do a vehicle check, If the seller doesn't agree to this, there will be something he is trying to hide, or try and bring along a guy who has a clue, But if those options are no good,, while driving it, turn the radio off and listen for any knocks, ratlles and rumbling noises , Turn the car full circle (both directions) and listen for clicking nosies and enquire about everything that you hear that doesn't sound like a normal car.Listen for noises when braking, pulling away etc,,
Good luck..
ps. 3 owners isn't really that high,, look at the service history,, thats more important.
oh! and nissans are VERY reliable cars but the price of spare parts can be quite high,

It's not really a girls car more of a family or taxi drivers car...
Would you not go for something a little more sexy....
A nissan will go forever if it's looked after.....I'd be warey of the milage as it seems very low for 3 owners..
Have a good look at the paint, look very closely for bubbles or tiny spots under the paint....a sure fire givaway the car has had some paintwork...look very closley it's hard to spot....also see is there paint under the door handels or around the body trimmings or windows...
Best of luck....remember always pick a nice colour in a car it is the one that will sell fastest for you if you don't like it after a few weeks...

ok, you have indexed all somewhat great manufacturers that are all good however the main considerable component is each and every have distinctive vehicles which will pull distinctive human beings's pursuits. Nissan does have greater effective styled vehicles that are greater sporty in seems and overall performance ordinary; from my adventure I fee them third of your concepts. Toyota is an fairly good vehicle that isn't provide help to down, in spite of the indisputable fact that as others have stated, are greater common and bland; I additionally fee them 2d of this checklist. Mazda is actual a competent vehicle in all respects and has that is own styling that seems to perk your pursuits greater effective than the others; yet based on your checklist my reviews have led me to rank it 4th of your checklist. Honda has gotten greater effective with there greater moderen finding Civics and Accords which i like greater that's very almost the only reason I fee them above Toyota. Honda and Toyota are all yet precisely a similar right score in reliability. I actual have no longer something against you going in the direction of the Mazda 6 yet as a results of fact which you asked i will inform you to truly look into your different thoughts that could paintings out greater effective for you interior the long-term. Honda and Toyota are plenty greater shown vehicles that i've got seen rather bypass the 300k mile mark or perhaps roll the numbers lower back. no longer plenty with Mazda. The Miata isn't a girly vehicle via any skill, i do no longer like it as a results of fact i'm too tall for it. good luck along with your seach and purchase.

I own a primera about the same age its got 120000 miles on it .The AC can be a bit dodgy so make sure that you test it out.Bounce the rear of the car to make sure the rear suspension is all right. If its sounds and drives well it should be very reliable.

dont worry about the owners the car is 7 years old!
concentrate on what it looks/drives like, anything you dont like the look of walk away there are plenty about.
it should be nice and light to drive if a little boring but on the whole good cars.
be wary of any rust as these cars dont unless from poor repair.
