Did Andrea Yates actually ‘Do the right thing’? And don’t worry, I certainly don’t believe it makes any sense-I ain’t gonna kill anybody! I'm just trying to make a point.

PREACHER answers: “Does it make sense for you to go to hell for murder?” Of course, it makes perfect sense if by me going to hell, my children would go to heaven. One could even say that a parent is being selfish by not sacrificing their soul to save their kids’ souls. Again, I don’t believe any of this but it’s fun to point out the twisted Christian logic.

Well, if you believe that dead kids automatically go to Heaven like she did, then the answer can only be yes.

Jesus only gave his life to save souls - Andrea Yates gave up her very own *soul* and even disobeyed God for the souls of her children. That is the ultimate sacrifice. Sort of like Abraham, I guess.

To kill someone before the age of accountability is the most insane question i can think of. It is not up to any man when another is to die. You ask the question as if to protect the child from not being innocent, however how can you kill the innocent? Is that just? Do you really think that God is not going to allow punishment for that? Everyone makes decisions for themselves, if a young boy / or girl makes bad choices that is their problem & they will be held accountable; but God is fair, & gave all of us a second chance, through His son Jesus. Accepting Him as your Lord & Savior, understanding that He laid his life down for YOU, & embrase the gift of forgivnes God will not see the sin, or mistakes no matter how bad they are. So i say let the children grow & pave their own way. If you want to chat more on this let me know. I hope i answered your question.

NO...it makes no sense!
I don't think anyone knows for sure.
Catholics believe that children go to limbo.
Protestants believe...well, I don't know what protestants believe...but...no one has the right (scratch that) the power to manipulate Heaven's open-door/closed-door policy.
So...I think the best thing to do is to let people live their own lives until God calls them unto Him! And as far as Mrs. Yates is concerned, I hope and I pray (for the sake of her eternal soul) that she really was sick in the head!

It's like you would also reason that why didn't God kill Satan before he sinned and caused others to sin.

Because of sin, we are witnesses of the reality of sin and what it does. That is why God had to die to redeem us and he will come again and save us and rid the universe of sin, sinners and the devil Satan forever.

Before there was sin, no one knew really what it was it was just a bad thing. But sooner or later it would arise and Lucifer iniated it and therefore in God's infinite wisdom sin is allowed to be played out so that the character of God will be seen and that all the warnign before was warranted.

Sin will never again rare its ugly head because God will not allow it again and we wont either because we see what it causes.

Even God had to pay for sin by the death of His only son, which was no ordinary death - no man or woman on earth every had that death - he died for the world everybody who died already died for themself.

Each person has the right to live and make a conscious decision for or against God!

hello:}
well by robbing another soul of their life experiences really isn't anyones call .
if you believe only perfect souls go to heaven or those that have been saved i can see where your coming from to some extent .
but my belief system is that a soul is here to learn and experience and to choose right from wrong through trial and error .
also i also think in a lot of these sort of sad cases that the souls of these children agreed before hand [before being born]to [for whatever reason]to help these people in there soul evolution.
another words some souls must really experience darkness before they can evolve into companionable souls for 'god, higher being etc etc .
so by agreeing to go through some terrible tragic life the souls of in the case of Andrea's children actually gained by sacrificing and so did Andrea .
to my understanding there is a reason for everything and for all suffering ,i refuse to believe their is a god who simply likes to see us in pain or watch as we suffer .there is a bigger picture .
does that help at all ???
it is a very very long subject but i hope i at least helped a bit .

Understand you are just trying to make a point, so just to take it one step further, why not just abort every fetus for the rest of the time we are a species, ensuring that all those souls get into heaven ?

In the same vein, people in desolate countries shd resort to eating babies. This'll solve both the hunger and over-population problems at once.
