Yep...I get light headed, turn pale and nearly pass out. It doesn't hurt but it must be just the thought. I have found that if I drink a Coke it helps. I guess it raises my blood sugar level or something. Shot-o-phobia is what I call it.

I used to. I had lots of testing done after having Scarlet Fever as a child. Each week there would be another trip in for the blood test. I have even had them put in an IV in the back of my hand and dig around enough to make me pass out. I got over it with my first tattoo.
While I don't recommend a tattoo to anyone, nor do I see it as a cure to the fear, I don't have the fear any longer.

A lot of people are afraid of needles. Just ask a nurse the next time you see one. I recommend looking away and trying to converse with the nurse with getting the shot; it helps distract me from my fear.

I am very afraid of needles. I am scared because of when i was born and had many problems then growing up and having many test done, i was just "needledout".

OMG....I hate needles...I can't even see them without cringing....I almost break down into tears whenever I go to the Doc.....just the thought of getting a shot makes me sooo nervous!!!
