I have been in love with someone for 10 years, we tried a relationship for 2 years and it didn't work. I know he isn't right for me but i don't know how to stop having feelings for him! Help!

Move on, find someone else, stop banging your head against a brick wall. Get a puppy or something, but don't waste anymore time on something you don't want

You gave it your best shot.
If you can admit that the relationship didn't work because he isn't right for you, that's one step in the direction toward getting past him.
It's normal to still have feelings for someone you've loved for so long. However, it is time to move on with your life.
Don't you think that after 10 years you deserve to be with a man who IS right for you?

Whatever you may feel, it's still your choice that matters. You may love the guy and try to live with the fact that you both won't be together, but you can still choose to move on with your life and try to live it the best way that you can even if there is a searing void or heartache that you have. It's like any other problem in life, we don't stop living just because we have a problem. Make the choice to live your life the best way you know how even if there's pain because you can't live with him. Good luck! :)

The reason you probably havent moved on is becuase you are not letting yourself. You need to meet new people and socialise with a different group of friends, you will eventually fall out of love with him, its just gunna take some time.

'All you need is love'. Why the hell didn't it work? Make it work, do whatever it takes my friend.

And just for the record- the day we actually fall in love with someone who is really 'right' for us will be the day George Bush finally learns that 'thou shall start many pointless wars' is not in the 10 commandments!

Hey I'm British (did the Beatles reference not give it away??) I can say that, I didn't vote him in.

Sorry but that's impossible, once you love you are chained to it forever regardless of singularities.

Do something safe but fun that you don't normally do and try to get your mind off of him.
