Don't worry...In Ecclesiastes,it states the "DEAD KNOW NOTHING"!!! The only hope we have is a ressurection FROM THE DEAD! And GOD does things in an orderly fashion! The FIRST RESSURECTION will be of His Saints when King Jesus returns...THEN there is a SECOND RESSURECTION that will follow for those who NEVER had a chance to become immortal! THE THIRD RESSURECTION is exclusively for those who KNEW the TRUTH--but rejected it and WOULD NEVER repent and change! GOD's way is fair, orderly, and merciful. Myths about your relatives burning in some mythical torture place is pure nonsense! GOD is looking to SAVE us--NOT destroy us! The reason you are even breathing now is so you can develop GOD'S ROYAL CHARACTER to prepare you for RULERSHIP over this vast Universe! "GOD" is the name of His Kingdom and FAMILY!--THE GOD KINGDOM! We were made "in His image"--we look like, and can learn to THINK and ACT like GOD does! But as far as death,it is an ENEMY of mankind that WILL be eliminated! But GOD will ressurect NOONE TO ETERNAL LIFE he does NOT rule! Death is truly a "sleep" until your Creator raises you up for judgement--which is simply deciding what you HAVE done, then what you CAN do to correct your life, then what you WILL be doing--hopefully becoming a Royal Son or Daughter of GOD! You see? THE TRUTH is far better than fairy-airy tale nonsense! GOD is fair and loving! Don't believe ME--look these things up in your Bible! And I'll hopefully see YOU--in the afterlife.

Your heart stops beating. Your synapses slow their firing until you are brain dead and no electrical current is flowing through the nervous system. Your body will generally expel any waste matter (air, urine, feces) being held. Sometime around this time, you will either discover that there is an afterlife of some sort, or you will blink into nothingness, with absolutely no consciousness to be aware of the fact that there is no afterlife. The body will begin the approach to rigor mortise. And bacteria will begin decomposing the body. Years and years later, only ash (and perhaps fossilized bones) will be left of your body. If there is an afterlife, you will never be able to tell anyone. If there isn't, you will never be able to tell anyone. Those who say they know the truth about the afterlife, either way, are not intellectually honest. Which is why this question will continue to evoke philosophical debate ad infinitum.

Life continues.. Death is just a transition, Life is eternal. It is said that as per your deeds and Desires you get the next birth, Some says, what you wish at the last moment of this life, that you'll be in your next birth. And some says, what you are enjoying in this birth is because of your last birth's good deeds (Karma's) and what will you do in this life will decide your next birth. But one thing is Truth that, Life is Eternal and death is just a transition

Well I don't know for sure. But I like that theory about the White light at the end of the tunnel, and a superior being coming along to pick you up to take your soul to God, and that in your way there you get to get together with your, family and friends that are already gone. I really hope that is something like this.

Hello,
Well it depends on what you believe in anyway. I am a Christian and i believe we have to pay for our sins and you have to accept Jesus into your heart as your etenal saviour, before you die. If you do...you would go to heaven if you don't hell is waiting for you.
Some people believe that is good deed that will get you into heaven, what if these good deed aren't enough. Doing the good deed isn't righteous because people all have their own hidden agenda.
Some people believe in recarnations and stuff....

Nothing. Zilch. Nada.
This fits whether you are a Biblical Christian or an athiest.
(Note to Christians: Lazorus "knew nothing" while he was asleep." Then there is the resurrection, why have one if your soul (breath) has gone to heaven?)
Now, I'll let the Hindu's, Buddists and others weigh in.

That question will get so many different answers...... That is unknown to man. The Bible does make mention of what happens after you die - but we'll just have to hope we get to heaven to find out!

We go to heaven to wait judgment.
2 Corinthians - Chapter 5
We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.
