We don't have mass. Do you know what mass is? It's a large amount of something. Now the reason why we drink the "blood" and eat the "flesh" : wine was what he was about to do, spill his blood as a sacrifice for all man willing to accept him into their heart & life. And in those times, people broke bread together. It's called communion between believers and God.

They do not. The bread and wine are symbolic of the body and blood of Christ. Catholics teach that they are literally transformed into the blood and body of Christ IN THE HANDS OF THE PRIEST. This was a major dividing point in the Protestant Reformation, and it still is today. The doctrine of transubstantiation is hotly disputed between Catholics and Protestants. The language used in the Bible is taken literally by the Catholics, but symbolically by the Protestants. The Catholics interprets the Bible the way they do to protect the power of the priesthood. Protestants are more after the truth than protecting a small clique who knows the truth, but will not speak it. Jesus loves us all, despite the errors we make.

Because Jesus told us we must do so. You will find that Jesus often referred to himself as the "Living Bread come down from Heaven" and in John's Gospel Chapter 6 verses 53 - 59...Jesus said "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him...etc
Despite what Preacher says....how many of you recall how many people walked away from Jesus Himself because they couldn't believe Him??? It is not just protestants who walked away from the Catholic Church because of this, people in Jesus time actually left Him because He told us we must eat His flesh and drink His blood.. so the separation itself came directly at Jesus time...Some couldn't handle the truth of Jesus words.

We try this because of the fact Jesus pronounced "till you consume the flesh of the Son of guy and drink his blood you haven't any longer any existence in you." yet we do it "sacramentally." meaning it is the physique and blood of Jesus yet below what seems to be bread and wine. All Christians to no longer have faith communion is somewhat the physique and blood of Jesus yet purely Catholics, Orthodox, Episcopalians and maximum Lutherans. The others evaluate it purely an emblem.

This is based on the very ancient idea (ancient, and primitive) that if you eat the flesh of a hero, you will absorb some of that hero's courage. This extends to royalty (i.e. eating the flesh of sacrificed kings) and divinity (somehow partaking of the essence of a god by eating food restricted to the gods, such as sacred mushrooms).
Yes, when you get right down to it, it's cannibalism.

Some of them don't drink the blood, though, because they're afraid of germs or maybe they're alcoholic or something. I feel bad for those dudes because they think they're doing it right but when they get to heaven Jesus is going to be all "Hey you stupid moron I said to eat my body AND DRINK MY BLOOD YOU F-ING IDIOTS YOU ONLY DID HALF OF WHAT I WANTED SO NOW YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL FOREVER YOU LOSERS!"
Ha ha ha, I can't wait to see the looks on those dudes' faces when they get to hell with me. I probably won't be able to stop laughing for like centuries.

hmmmm.. well.. I don't... I eat and drink symbols of his flesh and blood... to show that I will remember him.. I will remember that he has a body.. that he has blood... that he gave these up for us.. to cleanse away our sins... to demonstrate that I will remember the covenants that I have made with Jesus.. to keep the commandments.. and to take upon me his name.. and to always remember Him.

It is to pay tribute to God. It's not real of course, it is crackers and wine (or grape juice for kids). Jesus asked us to do it in remembrance to Him. Read the story of the last supper if you want more details.
