Drinking coffee increases the release by the body of Cortisol, a natural hormone which in excessive amounts will produce a slight weight gain. Stop drinking coffee and you will lose a few pounds within a week. And stay away from fancy coffee drinks. A 20-ounce mocha can easily top 400 calories, most of them from sugar. Two mochas a week equals 41,600 calories a year.

If you keep the coffee not filled with fat and sugar, it actually helps a bunch with not having to eat a big breakfast.

Depends on what you put in it, even non-dairy creamers have fat and calories. Just black tho, no it shouldn't.
