No, it is great that a man knows his way around the kitchen and can bake a cake. His wife was probably jealous of him because he received compliments for his baking. He could take it seriously and never step foot in the kitchen again and leave the baking up to him. She should be proud of him and his accomplishments in the kitchen.

There is nothing wrong with men doing any sort of cooking. There are plenty of male chefs in the world who bake cakes. It's actually good to know how to cook because then you can do something special on occasion for your girlfriend/wife, or at least give her a break from time to time.

No, alot of men bake and cook women love it when a man can step up and cook for us and it was nice for him to bake the cake, his wife should have been happy the guests liked the cake, jealous I guess. Tell him to keep cooking, maybe he can teach his wife a thing or two

Of course not. My husband is a great baker. He's on of the few people I know who can bake a cake from scratch and not out-of-the-box. What's so wrong with a man baking? Men cook, don't they? What's your friend's deal? Does she think her husband might be a sissy for baking good cakes or something?

Of course it's not wrong for a man to bake a cake. I know it's seems weird when you're talking to your boyfriend and he says he just baked a cake. But it's fine as long as he's not putting boogers in it or anything.

There is nothing wrong with a man making a cake. His wife must be just a "b"! I work as a baker for 12 yrs. and most of the bakers were men.
I would love my man to bake, cook, or clean for me. It's great to share in the duties.
I hope you told him it was good, and gave her an evil eye at least. LOL. :)

Seriously, what a BI**H! I bet she'd give him crap if he payed the bills on time, did the laundry and painted the house too!
So what if the guy can bake? Did you ever see 'Under Siege'? Steven Segal was a badass in that movie, and he was a pretty highly regarded chef!
What's wrong with a guy being so motivated that he learns to take care of himself? Does he complain when she does things that are socially considered to be masculine?
Dude, the next time she makes fun of your buddy, point out one of her flaws, something that you know will cut her to the quick and shut her down.
The cake thing? Did she have a problem eating it? Screw her!

It's not wrong as long as he does it willingly. I had a friend whose wife asked him to bake a cake from a mix for a cookout. (She had to work that morning, he didn't.) He didn't really want to do it so in a smart alec move, he put in two eggs, just like the directions said, only he put in two WHOLE eggs, shells and all.
It was a very crunchy cake.
