There's never any way of completely getting rid of menstrual cramps unfortunatly. But if her cramps are that intense maybe she should think about seeing a doctor because they can prescribe much better pills than are on the market. It could also be a sign that there may be something wrong with your friend and i advise that she see a doctor as soon as possible. Also has she thought about going on birthcontrol. I found that helped me out a lot not only with cramps but also with flow. I really hope she gets help soon because menstrual cramps are such a horrible part of being a woman. (That and haveing to put up with men LOL) Take care hun and Good Luck.

The pain that a girl feels on first days of period can be decreased by taking contraceptive pills. Those have benefits in this matter, as well. She should talk to a doctor and he/she will advice her what kind of pills are good. A friend of mine had same problem, she was even fainting while walking on road, after taking the contraceptive pills she felt great all the time.

ok you'd better ask her to go to the gynecologist to make an exam she can perhaps blood a lot because of cyste in the utero or problem whith ovaries. Sometimes it's also due to anemy no iron enough in blood
If there is nothing preocupying ask for some medecine to take some week ago before menstruation and during . i know it exist here were i'm living in Europe ask your doctor there if he knows such a product who prepares you gently to menstruation. this medecine is working on hormones
i hope she's gonna be fine

Aside from medication try filling up a hot water bottle and put it on her lower back and stomach which ever one relieves the pain the most. I used to get bad cramps and i found that this always helped.

Well she could take some midol it was made just for period pain. Normally drinking a hot drink (hot cocoa, hot tea, coffee) helps, taking a hot bath and relaxing. Tell her to stay away from salty foods that normally makes it worse.

yeah tell her to get some midol PMS or get some extra strength tylenol and use a hot water bottle for the cramps! i know this can be a pain in the *** and all over.
also tell her right before she gets ready to have her cycle to do lots of stomach exercises and lower stomach crunches becuae this will reduce cramping!

Well every girl is different so what helps me may not be of any help to her. But the only thing that helps me is pamprin or midol. sometimes a hot bath helps too. if its her back hurting her she may want to try a heating pad. if its her stomach cramping, theres not much she can do for that. usually u can only sit in one position to get comfortable. those positions varies with everyone. is she on birth control? that may effect it too. if it gets too bad she may want to visit her gyn.

There is menstral medication that your friend can buy at any pharmacy, i.e: midol. or just regular advil or ibuprophen. For me, I started taking the birth control pill and that helped alot with the cramping and the acne that accompanies that time of the month.

There are a number of medications for menstrual pain, both over-the-counter and through a doctor. As mentioned above, Midol is one of these medications.
