There seems to be a recent documentary (regarding an experiment) disputing the 'fact' that eating eggs will raise bad cholesterol.

The yolk of the egg contains the bad cholesterol and eating more than 2 of these a week can raise 'bad' cholesterol. The yolks do contain important amino acids and other nutrients so it is not necessary to eliminate them completely.
However it is not that simple as the rest of your diet, lifestyle and exercise habits also play a part......

Diet is not so much involved with Cholesterol in most Americans. Either you have the genes to have a high total cholesterol or not. Some people can get buy mitigating there LDL[bad] with a high HDL[good] for a while, but it catches up with you sooner or later.
When it does much of the damage is already done.

Eating eggs can raise cholesterol. Try egg beaters. You can have real eggs, but not everyday. There are other factors, like your cholesterol level. Best to eat boiled not fried eggs, cause it's less oil/fat.

The "eggs are bad for your cholesterol" theory has been challenged in recent years. Most doctors are saying now that if you don't overdue it, eggs are OK. I don't think anyone is saying that they lower bad cholesterol though.

I have actually heard that eggs contain stuff that makes your GOOD cholesterol go up. My doctor specifically told me to cut back on carbs such as bread and potatoes. In fact, he told me I would be much better off eating eggs and ham for breakfast, than a bagel.
