It is trying to repay you, doing what it would do in the natural world. You are its family. Our cat used to bring live rabbits into the house (small ones). It would often eat the rabbits head and leave the rest for us. It was very considerate; brought live mice too. Life was never dull.

It's their way of expressing their love and affection to you. They have many ways of showing that they love you but this is also one of them. Don't punish your cat for it because it will not understand what he or she has done wrong and you will hurt it's feelings. Just accept it and bury it or throw it away later when your cat doesn't notice it and pretend that you appreciate it. Your cat will only love you more for it.

Cats honestly think they are doing you a favor by bringing you "food". They believe you will eat what they bring. It's a gift, so you shouldn't get angry, even if it is disgusting! My cat always used to leave "treats" for me on my doorstep. (chipmunks, mice) YUCK! But, I'd pet her, say thanks...and get rid of it ASAP!

if u mean dead spiders and rats then u'r cat just wants u 2 be proud of him/her
it's a normal thing for cats mainly 4 1's who wants 2 prove him/herself
nothing 2 worry about as long as u don't get showered in dead insects

The creatures are 'gifts' . If still alive, to play with first, and then consume.
They are showing you that they care and they know you are the 'Alpha' of the group.

They are gifts... you'll find this behavior even more so in the female of the species. It's instinctive... you feed and care for them, they are trying to show their gratitude in the only way they know how.

I would suggest showing some appreciation... accept the critter (before disposing of it) and pet them to let them know you understand.
