Being 33 years old with all that wisdom and knowledge, he could save us all from our problems and wars, or perhaps create more problems, as he himself was a big problem to the leaders of his age!

33 was the age a man had to be before he could become a high preist in Jewish law. It's no coincindence that Jesus died at that age. I'm thankful that He died how and when He did, because any other way might not have saved my soul from hell.

Jesus was and still is 100% man as well as 100% God. Playing the "what if" game makes no sense. Jesus Christ is God; thus, God cannot die of old age. His crucifixion was foreordained before the foundation of the world; therefore, he could not have avoided it. For him to have done so would have made God out to be a liar, and God cannot lie. Jesus loves you. Read the WHOLE Bible and you will understand.

Unfortunately it seems that he had to die- he could have argued his case and lived, had he done that he would have had to construe some other way of getting killed. He effectively committed suicide- he died for his beliefs, as suicide bombers do now.
To be a martyr for his cause, promotion of his book etc, he had to go with a lot of publicity... so,no, dying of old age wouldn't have helped sales at all.
He let us all down given that he could do miracles- stop the hungry dying from malnutrition etc - yes- he was very selfish.
In fact, he's rather like a normal human being come to think of it.....

Very few people lived to old age back then.. and dying from it was even more rare. If you read about his life, it was his destiny to die young as he was a rebel and didn't want to follow the ways of the government. That is why he was killed.. it had NOTHING to do with anyone else's sins.

If He hadn't died and risen again, you would never have known there was an afterlife.

If He'd stayed here on earth and solved all your problems, you would have spiritually and mentally remained a 3 year old waiting on a parent to solve your problems.

It was God's plan that He come to earth in human form and give His life to offer us His divine life and to redeem us from sin so that we could be with Him in heaven. No other sceanario is possible because this is how God wanted to bring about our eternal salvation, by offering up Himself (in the person of Jesus Christ, His son) for our salvation.

Jesus was not killed by man. They just put him on a pole to die, but He gave up the Ghost of His on will. He even went willingly to the cross.

He did die of old age. He walked away from the sham of the crucifixion and a man named Simon was drugged and died instead.

That's a paradox. If he didn't die on the cross then he couldn't have risen again and he'd be just another preacher-man. If he could be killed by crucification he sure could've been killed by getting old.

If Jesus had not died on the Cross he would not have been Jesus. The death on the Cross was fulfilling prophesy of who he was.
