they're coming because there is access to food there, or a very low supply in their natural habitat. Keep all pets inside, cover pools, put away/tightly close trash containers, in other words, cut off their food supply and they'll move on.

Do you know that the coyotes are really threatening? I've lived in the country for 3 years. I hear coyotes run through the fields all the time, but they've never threatened my cats or dogs.
Last year I looked outside and seen a coyote eating mulberrries underneath my mulberry tree in the front yard. I had a dog watching him. I had at least 4 cats just lying on the porch watching him. He never attempted to attack the dog or cats. He was just hungry and was satisfied with the mulberries.
All I ever heard was that the coyotes would kill my animals. It's been 3 years, hasn't happened yet. I could be lucky, but if they can find anything else to eat, it seems like they are not going to try to kill my domestic animals.
I do understand some might be starving and attack pets, but from what I've seen, that would be the last resort.

Leave out some bait and wait for a bit.
I reccomend a 30.06 or some other varmint rifle. They're not stupid. If they see that the area is dangerous to them, they'll leave.
Good luck.

Hire a mountain lion.
Seriously, about all you can do is hunt them down and shoot them. I wouldn't recommend Smith and Wesson, though. Springfield would be more like it.

that's smart to no longer positioned our happiness on carry as life is unpredictable at terrific and you may make the different the right here and now, rather than chase a dream that would not at all take place.

Shooting or trapping them is the best way to rid area of the problem.
If you trap them you still have to kill them.
