There are a number of reasons why people are bully's. For some it is because they are brought up in really difficult home situations and it is learned behaviour and it is the only way that they are able to get what they want, as this is the only way that they know how to go about things. In other instances, it may be because they are actually very insecure, and in order to displace this insecurity they need to have domination over others. There are also some theories that suggest that those who bully have higher tendencies in both anxiety and depression scale, however this is only a theory. More recent explanations however say that bullies actually have quite a lot self confidence, and are quite intelligent, because they are able to manipulate others to get what they want, however these people are highly disturbed and need help in order to stop the damaging cycle. I hope this give you the answers you wanted =)

many reasons:

1)some have low self-esteem and they feel the must make others insecure in order to compensate for their own problems

2)Some have an abusive home life and retaliate their emotions on others because they cannot control their stuation at home

3) Some a Superiority Complex and believe it is their right to trample over others

4)Some are just natrually jerks. Mean people. Even if they had a good home, they get a kick (excuse the pun) out of hurting others

5)Some don't realise they are bullies, and need someone to help them realise how people should be treated.

It all depends. Sometimes kindness can really turn a bully around, not always, but sometimes

Bullying is never acceptable, and whilst it may feel that a sense of power has been gained, I imagine that it is not pleasurable. In my experience, bullies, are insecure and feel inferior, they often secretly admire those they bully. Often they have personal difficulties, its is a reason why 'no blame' resolution can work well. Even bystanders to bullying are equally responsible for causing distress, so, I imagine, over all it is not pleasureable and probably compounds the problems, causing a vicous circle of misery.

They are so insecure about themselves that they are paranoid that other people will pick up on this, so they take the limelight away from this, by making other people look stupid.

It is a really selfish and harmful thing to do, and bullies are generally horrible people who are not very intelligent, as they do not know the effects this can have on people.

It could be a number of reasons.
1. They're bored and want some attention
2. They enjoy feeling superior to others
3. They have low self-esteem and feel that they need to bully others to feel better
4. They're naturally mean-spirited

A lot of bullies are insecure in themselves and the best form of defence is attack,so to make themselves feel better they try to make someone else more miserable than them!
With others it is a power thing,to be able to humble, hurt or humiliate someone deemed by them to be weaker.
They need to be stood up to,either individually or else as a group, take away their power.
Bullies are not restricted to school either, they are everywhere in society, from school playgrounds to work canteens and offices and are limited by gender either.
As I said they need to be stoped up by whatever means possible !

A bully has to bully somebody. And a bully can't bully herself - she would be too scared to pick on someone her own size.

Improper parenting is cause for most bully's to bully others, and they do it as sort of a "help me plea" on one hand, and a "hate me because I hate myself" frame of mind on the other hand.

Usually it's a self esteem issue. Make someone else look bad to make yourself look better. But I imagine there are some people who truly enjoy causing outhers pain. Those people grow up to be assassins and sex workers.

Bullies bully others because of their own insecurities.
