See, i dont think in christianity we believe Jesus is God's literal son either. Why would God need to have a child from a wife when he can just snap his fingers?

Just as i am the direct creation of my own parents and therefore am their son,Christians believe Jesus is the direct creation, not at all by human methods, of God.Making Jesus God's son, allbeit by a non-human method.

Even muslims believe Jesus was born of a miracle.Of all the billions who have walked the earth, He is the only man eva to b born this way.Ever.Why?Can it really b that he was no more significant than the other prophets?Could it be that if anyone was the son of God, Jesus stood the best chance?

Hi shmoots,
It is hard to answer a major point like this in a short answer but here's a try.In Islam,Jesus and Mary the virgin are highly honoured and respected.Muslims believe that Jesus is a prophet ,born to Mary the virgin without traditional conception as a miracle, sent by God to guide people to the right path,.Muslims believe in one God ,with no wife or son.

It is a pillar of Islam to believe in all the 3 true holy books(Torah,Bible and Qur'an) because they are the words of God.Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet as much as they believe in Moses as a prophet or Mohammed as a prophet or Joseph as a prophet or Adam as a prophet (Peace be upon them all) and it is a clear teaching of Islam that all prophets are to be equally believed in ,without preferring or giving higher value to one over the other.
What I have written as an answer to your question is accurately true but I feel is rather shallow to properly explain this point. If you have any more questions then please just ask :)

No! Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was a great prophet or healer! They believe that it is sacrilege to say that God thru the Holy Spirit gave Mary or any woman a child. They do not believe in immaculate conception - this is totally a lie and to Muslims a practice of evil! Jesus Christ to a Muslim - is the son of god in the same way we are - whether you believe in Jesus Christ or not! Jesus Christ held no special place as the son of god! Muslim - means one who submits to the will of god - Allah is the Arabic word for god! This information is in any religious book on Islam - look it up! I know these answers because I was a Muslim.
Now, because I asked for the Truth and the Holy Spirit spoke to my soul - I believe in God (Jesus Christ)!

we do not think Jesus is the son of God because a being who begets/reproduces itself won't be able to be God. that is a organic and organic function of a created being and God isn't created. we are no longer 'determined' to believe in someone who's basically a guy. We believe interior the Prophets and we adore them. Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Muhammad, all of them. you want to study up on what immaculate idea skill. i'm a Muslim, and ok i changed into Christian yet i comprehend that immaculate idea refers to Mary's idea, no longer Jesus'. you're probably speaking about the virgin beginning of Jesus, and certain Muslims believe in that. yet being born of a virgin would not make you God, sorry. The beginning of Jesus changed into an illustration to the individuals of his time, a miracle that God presented about, an representation of God's only accurate skill and authority over all issues.

Jesus is one of the God's prophets, who was born from virgin Maryam. But he is not the son of God because God doesn't have a Son or a mother or a father or a sister or a wife or whatever you can think of..

No, for Muslims Jesus was a mortal human, and like Isiah & Moses, they feel he was a man who was given prophetic insight by Allah. The also don't believe Mohammed was divine, merely that he was the last in a long line of prophets who delivered Allah's message.

No Muhammed has perverted the gospel of Jesus and of Abraham they believe in the prophets in name only and teach different than they did. I have encountered Muslims that believe in the virgin birth but not the deity of Jesus.

No, The Muslims dont believe that Jesus is a son of God , look denied and they said tehy believe in Jesus only believe as an ordinary people, but my question is if they did believe that Jesus is only an ordinary man why they ar ealso waiting for teh second coming of Jesus

REMEMBER

NO ORDINARY MAN CAN COME TO HIS SECOND COMING so it is betetr for them to wait for their rpophet to come and for us to Jesus to come because we Christians believe and love Jesus very weell coz if you love and believe teh son of God (Jesus) you believe also the Father coz teh THE SON AND THE FATHER are one.

As Muslims we believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) to be a Prophet and Messenger of God. He was sent to the his people and his revelation was the Injeel (Gospel). His birth was a miracle from God. He was born without a Father. His birth was miraclous but Adam's (peace be upon him) birth was even more miraclous. He was born without a father or Mother. We hold Jesus in high regard and we know and are sure he will come back to Earth to establish justice and let truth prevail.

Some of the Quotes in Quran (Koran) concerning Jesus:

"Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how God makes His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!" (5:75).

"And behold! God will say [i.e. on the Day of Judgment]: 'Oh Jesus, the son of Mary! Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?' He will say: 'Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never did I say to them anything except what You commanded me to say: 'Worship God, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I lived among them. When You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a witness to all things'" (5:116-117).

"He [Jesus] said: 'I am indeed a servant of God. He has given me revelation and made me a prophet; He has made me blessed wheresoever I be; and He has enjoined on me prayer and charity as long as I live. He has made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable. So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!' Such was Jesus the son of Mary. It is a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) God that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is" (19:30-35).

"When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: 'Now I have come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which you dispute. Therefore, fear God and obey me. God, He is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him -- this is a Straight Way.' But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement. So woe to the wrongdoers, from the penalty of a Grievous Day!" (43:63-65)
