After many cities not wanting to offend other
cultures by putting up Christmas lights.
After hearing that the Birmingham council changed its
opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her
driver's license with her face covered.
This prompted this editorial written by a UK citizen. Published in a
British tabloid newspaper.
IMMIGRANTS,NOT BRITAIN'S, MUST ADAPT.
Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation
worrying about whether we are offending some
individual or their culture. Since the terrorist
attacks on London, we have experienced a surge in
patriotism by the majority of Brits. However, the dust
from the attacks has barely settled and the
politically correct" crowd begin complaining about
the possibility that our patriotism is offending
others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a
grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by
coming to Britain. (THERE'S MORE TO COME YET.)

How true you are.
If our rules or culture offends then go and claim benefits some where else.
Why should I be told I am not allowed to hang the English flag for fear of offending a Muslim. My Family was here before them so they should adapt to our way of life.
If I went to there country I would have to adapt , I would be told to get out if I wanted things done my way, So why should we change to suit them.
As for the PC crowd , we should kick them out as well and save all the hassle they cause.

Its not just the Uk that is now allowing the head covering etc on official documents. Here in Spain it has just released new guidelines for those that feel the need to be covered for religious reasosn, eyes, nose and mouth must all be visible though, as this is where the biometric measurements used to prove identity are taken from the intial photograph. hair and other marks can be kept covered. The same surge of patriotism came and went here following the Madrid train bombs, which incidentally, changed the outcome of a general election within days, a perfect result for the terrorists

the problem is most people aren't offended by christmas, the british flag, pantos or whatever this weeks evil is. The people who try get this stuff banned are white do gooders who are terrified of offending anyone not realising they are probably stiring up more resentment than the whole of the bnp combined. where i live christmas lights where not put up at christmas for fear of the race riots that would happen and were not put put back up until we had a asian mayor. i'm sick of living in a country were we are made to feel like we should apologise for the last few hundered years. this is a great country with a great people and that includes people who were born here and people who have moved here. and this go's out to people of all colours and nationalities if you don't like this country what the hell are doing here...

lets face it. england is now a multi cultural country. people live how they know best its called survival. we work to survive not live. wether we are brithish. muslim. jew. african. and many more to name. we will never be able to understand the needs of illigals comming to our country because we have never experienced the war. waking up to killings every day and bombings. my heart goes out to the innocent people who are killed every day in this way. but there has to come a point where we must live as a country. together. no rules should change. we as a country have done many changes to please other cultures. even in our schools. like..nursary rhymes..baa baa black sheep was banned because it was black in it..a black board was changed to a chalk board..polly put the kettle on was changed because of the name polly. we are not allowed to fly the british flag because of insult to other communities. but what we got to remember is this..it was not of the request of the other cultures..to take down flags. or change nursary rhymes..it was the local governent in each area that decided the changes. nothing to do with people..we just have to follow the dam rules because they are put in our faces. when illigals. and other cultural people come to this country they accept it as it is..because at the end of the day our country holds a better position than theres. so just think. it is the government again.

oh i have something to say about this.I'm an american married to an enlglishman that is being deported out of the us after he has lived here for 20 years. i cant wait to come to your country.the usa are picking people up off the streets( really) just to see if the can deport them.children without there parents, think I'm joking americans call this number (305)552-7845 when they give you the options you want to push two then listen to them for a bit and they will give you the option for unaccompanied children.its crazy. homeland security got more money for immigration than we give our elderly for social security.pass a dam law and lets get this worked out. even if you go to get your green card and you are married to an American chances are when you go to get it they will tell you no. right then they take you lock you up. if you try to go to court to stay they will lock you up from 8 months to two years.my husband is actually being held with a man who has a medal of honor from our military and is being deported. how can this happen? i cant wait to move to the uk and if you want ill put a picture of my butt on my drivers license if that's what it takes!

When in Rome?I agree 100% with you. This is England, why should i have to change my lifestyle to accommodate foreigners in my own country. If they want to live here they should play by our rules,if not,go back home.We have survived hundreds of years without them,so they will not be a miss.

we are trying to leave the sooner the better, and i hasten to add not because of the immigrants though it is true if they want to live in this country they should learn our language and we shouldn't have to stop our religous believes because of them or be told we can't do things that might offend them!!

yes of course you have the right to leave.it ofton happens when it comes to job, travelling or when you are uncomfortable about something in your country.but it is unfair when you do so just because your personnal matters.that's foolish.you should be bold enough to face any thing in life
