you can train your body to operate on as little as 4 hrs of sleep. however 8 hours does make you feel way more rested!!

The thing you want is that high quality REM "repetiive eye movement" sleep. thats the state where your body is most relaxed and your brain and nervious system kinda recharge there selves. it takes about 30 minutes to reach this state in sleep. and you should have at least 2 hrs of this.

ever have a night where you you sleep of and on but just dont feel rested, that is why you need your REM!! and im not talking about losing your religion!!

yes, most people need eight hour sleep to revitalize their body, we work for entire day and need enough rest so that body can produce enough energy to get goping next day. 8 hours is considered as or natural time to revitalize your body but it again vary from person to personm, some people feel equally fresh after 5 hours' sleep too and some need even more than 10 hours.

i think there is a chemical that accumulates in the brain during waking hours that necessitates sleep, and during sleep, is eradicated, allowing us to be in a waking state again. apparently, the time for eradication of this chemical is about eight hours.

look sweet heart u hav to sleep for 8hrs tob healyhy and happy if u can't u may spoil ur health and for girls such as me should sleep for eight hrs so u get peace in the mind and don't get any dark circules due to late night sleep therefore u need ur 8hr sleep
