only if there is a warrant out for your arrest, you may however be refused entry at your destination, in which case you will just be put on the next flight back home, Your passport will then be given a refused entry stamp which makes future travel out of the UK harder... but not impossible.

It depends on the crime you are on the record for. Some countries such as Cyprus and America refuse entry to anyone with drug convictions or sex offenses. Some other countries have restrictions for fraud and any offense connected with it.
Generally they should have contacted you if the police wish you to stay in the country, either if you are on conditional bail, where you probably would have surrendered your passport anyway, or as part of a particualr restraining order, which is common where a person is on there for crimes against a minor- Thailand currently has a policy where any foreign national is found guilty of sex tourism can be prosecuted in both Thailand and their own country, and will be deported immediatly.
As well as breaking of bail and sex offenses, you can also be arrested only if therecord states that you have an arrest warrant or whre they believe you are fleeing
Under current British law however there is a statute called the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. This states that a conviction does not have to be declared after a 'rehabilitation period' It goes from 5, 10, 15 or 20 years for most offenses, but murder and manslaughter convictions must be declared for life, as are some serious or multiple sex crimes. After the rehabilitation period convictions are 'spent' and you would not normally declare these unless necessary- the Army and Government require convictions to be declared (due to national security reasons), as are applications to be a barrister or work in a legal setting or in the courts. Work with children carries a compulsory criminal record check, which will look primarilly at the persons history concerning paedophillia or sex convictions.
If you are worried then phone a representative embassy of the country you are going to.

I am on it too and I was crapping myself when I went to the states but I got in and there was no problems. It all depends if you have done something internationally or are going to flagged up for football violence or drugs. What is the worst thing that can happen? They will only refuse you on a flight or send you back. I had to fill in a form on the airplane so there was no way that they could process all the forms from all the flights that landed that day by the time I got through customs so try not worry and relax and enjoy your holiday. Unless you are an international terrorist or something or your name is osama bin laden just chill out

You mean there is a warrant for your arrest pending?

There is only one way of finding out I suppose.

Send all of us here at Yahoo Q&A an E-Post Card if you manage to get away without being arrested.
