Yellow pages, checking for how long in business, prices, location, references you can call on to check qualifications and quality of work, secure the knowledge that they are, at the very least licensed, in all phases, Carpentry, plumbing, and electrical contracting, among other things.

Go to a lumber company or a building company and ask if they have any suggestions. They may be able to do the work as well. Ask to see their work before signing a contract. Good luck!
