Too much vitamin A can kill you. That's why you can't heat polar bear liver or you will die instantly. If you are getting it from vitamins of foods on a daily basis, your skin will probably turn yellowish before it starts to poison you. It leaches away in a matter of months.

Both Vitamin A and D are fat-soluable vitamins. Therefore, generally speaking, it will take a long time to be completely used up by your body. We are speaking in terms of months. No specific answer can be given because each body will use up the vitamins at a different rate.
Secondly, are you taking these vitamins in the form of pills. If so, why? Are they perscribed by a doctor? There is no reason for taking supplements unless you have a specific medical condition.

Vit D is stored in fat and can stay there until your body requires it whether this be months years or hours.
If you lose weight quickly, fat solublre vits are released into the body.
Vit D is produced by the action of sunlight on the skin, 30 mins outside with face and arms exposed gives us plenty. You should not take Vit D supplements unless you are covered head to foot when outside.

Fat-soluble nutrients (including vitamins A, D and E, all essential fatty acids and co-enzyme Q10): if your dosage involves more than one capsule/tablet a day, split the dose and take one dose with breakfast and one with lunch or an evening meal.

Try a detox as the liver stores vitamin A for ages.
