Of course I support Israel. Besides their right to the land, it is a very small piece of land surrounded by countries led by groups that have sworn to eliminate Israel. Each of the wars Israel has been involved in with these enemy States have not been started by Israel. but Israel has won each such conflict.

Whatever agreements have been made have always been broken by these States against Israel.

What land has been taken by Israel from these wars, has been to protect itself because the other side cannot be trusted.

It is these enemies to Israel that have always sent the suicide bombers into Israel, not the other way around. All that has to happen to end the violence, is for these enemy States to leave Israel alone.

President Bush's support of Israel is the same as every President that preceded him in office.

It is interesting that people get upset with Israel'smilitary action against people who send suicied bombers into Israel to target civilians in their homes, in their shops, in public transportation. This latest military action was not started by Israel, rather Israel was heavily bombed from both Gaza and the Northern border. Even with that reality people are against Israel, and that is interesting.

I don't think that you can abandon (or be forced off) land 2000+ years ago and then show up and ask the current occupants for it back and not expect them to have an issue with it. If this really is an acceptable concept then 95% of the people in North America, Central America, South America & Australia better start packing.

Israel was granted statehood because of a colective post world war two guilt and a lack of respect for Arabs. If any one country was expected to give up teritory for the creation of a Jewish state, wouldn't it have made sence that it be Germany? Understandably, I can see how this idea would have been much less appealing to what was left of European Jews after the war but in hind sight I think they would have been a lot safer in Europe.

American Presidents support Israel because it would be near imposible to become president and not. Not supporting Israel would effectivly mean lossing New York, Califorina and Florida in any election. (Amounting to over 100 electoral college votes)

Just to clarify, I'm not anti-Semitic nor one of those ZOG idiots & I am aware that the Zionist movement for the creation of a Jewish State in Isreal pre-dates WWII.

Bush's statements regarding Israel are his own opinion and do not make much sense. He made an utterly idiotic statement about Hezbollah a couple of days ago and keeps repeating at as though he thinks he has come up with something really clever to justify his position but which actually shows him to be ignorant and heavily biased. I don't believe anything Bush or anyone in his administration says about Israel; it is all self-serving propaganda.

Israel is a genocidal, racist, aggressive country that does not deserve US support. Everything Israel does is intended to bring harm to its neighbors and it seems Israel always makes wrong choices in dealing with the Arabs. Israel has adopted a mindset which is worse than Nazism and just as dangerous.

I don't support Israel at all, they are just plain wrong in just about everything, yet the sheep in Washington grovel all over the ground in front of them.

I had to laugh the other day when Kim Jong Il said in reference to North Korea's missile test that North Korea had a right to defend itself. This is the same insipid line that Bush keeps spouting every five seconds about Israel. Bush's idiocy will come back to bite him eventually.

Not being an American I don't know, but I imagine that a country of 300 million people would have every imaginable opinion on the matter. Hundreds of thousands of Americans protested the invasion of Iraq with street demonstrations in 2003(?), just before the invasion

I support Israel. Israel is defending herself against terrorists. She is defending her people and territory, and how can you be against that?

My support is behind Israel for the very reasons that Randy cited above.
