What a dreadful situation to be in, you are so brave posting this question. I really don't know what to suggest, as I don't know about reductil. Perhaps you could call one of the druglines, no doubt they are listed on a site somewhere, or on a phone book. Is it an addiction to the drug itself, or to the weight control aspect. Seems to me you are using this method as a means of control, maybe you feel you are lacking control in other areas of your life, and this makes you feel more in control? I don't know. If your GP is not approachable, you should seek to change doctors. Do you perhaps feel your GP is unaproachable, or has he/she judged you in the past? You most certainly should not be judged for this, you need practical support and understanding, coping with any addiction is traumatic enough, admitting to it takes strength and courage and should be treated sensitively. Maybe you could attend a Overeaters Anonymous meeting, I say that because chances are, they have come accross this or similar issues before, and can maybe point you in the right direction, I don't think Narcotics Anonymous would know much about the drug, however, they may be an area to approach. Please think again about talking to your doctor, you may be surprised at her reaction, after all he or she is bound by oath to put your issues first and not be judgemental. She may recommend a course of therapy, which would be a good idea, find out why you are doing this and help you to stop. It is a form of self abuse, but as the BP issue is present, its very dangerous. I'm sorry, I don't know what else to suggest, but if you cant approach your doctor, maybe there is a nurse at the practice who may be more sympathetic, there must be another doctor, and as a patient, you are within your right to request a change without giving a reason. I think this is your most sensible and likely course of action, you know you need help, perhaps you feel ashamed (I did with my drug addiction), but your doctor should not be there to judge you, and you really do need intervention now. Do as much internet research as you can, you may come accross similar people or even a support group. I wish you luck, and God Bless. Sorry I can't think of more ideas.

I have never heard of this stuff but it sounds to me that you are really going through the mill at the moment. I take it that the drug itself is not addictable as you would not be able to have periods without it. Sooo then, as you state, its actually a form of self abuse or self harm. If your GP is no good then get another one, have you got many mental health services in your area?
What you are doing with regard to your weight though is yo-yo-ing and that is not good for your body because its getting all confused, your metabolism is shot and your thyroid might start messing up and then you will be in big trouble over weight.
Losing weight is really tough BUT logic says that what you do eat when you eat is high in fat and calories. Keep a food diary for 2 weeks when you are eating, don't cheat, write down everything that passes your lips! Then take that to your GP (hopefully a new one by then) he/she may refer you to a dietician for a suitable food plan. You must keep to regular excercise and healthy eating, that is the key. Good luck, you can sort it out but start straight away buy searching for a new GP

You don't have to go to your doctor, you could go to any health centre, or even A&E but you have to explain that you can't talk to your doctor and need help. You could on the other hand just change your doctor, not a hard thing to do.
You could also look up drug advice centres and drop in clinics within your area.
Or you could just grab the bull by the horns, get over the fact that you don't like your doctor and tell him/her your problem at the end of the day, you are the consumer and he is the seller. It is his job to help you.
Good luck!

Go online, & look up addiction solutions. You should let someone you really trust, know how your struggeling, with this problem on your own, because you need their help, & advice, as to what to do, to stop this cycle.Or, see a Dr. for some help with this, because it will only get worse dear. Think about the first thought which leads you to using Reductil. Remove all triggers for that thought from your life. Ultimately you have to decide to stop doing the things which lead you to taking it. Including certain thoughts.

evreyone is addicted to something... it is normal for human being... everyone is looking for satisfaction... the only way you can stop is you need to find the one that can really satisfy you... and that is Jesus... I advised you to take a deep breath and say OH LORD JESUS many times .... pray to Jesus and read the Bible.... whatever you are doing try to say OH LORD JESUS... I am addicted to so many things before drugs, girls gambling alcohol.. but now I am addicted to Jesus........ HALLELUJAH
