Keep goin out with them like you have been. Let them get used to the outdoors while you can keep an eye on them. I wouldn't normally let mine out by themselves til about 1.

Well you should let your kittens out at the age of around 1 and a half years to 2,thats ok.

Hi Sandi, if you let them out a few hours a day, and they come back on their own, I'd let them roam free.
I have had cats for 25 years now & currently have two. We feed them at the same time each evening, so they are usually there waiting. We also ring a bell as we feed them, so if they aren't there when it's dinner time, they soon come running to the sound of the bell - you can do a search on "pavlov's dog" for this training method. probably 1 or 2. it is safer to keep them indoors if you want them to experience outdoors you can get special fenced in areas for the cats to safely be outside or you can leash train them and you can take them out on leashes.

Don't let your cats outdoors unless they are on a harness and leash. They may not like it, but it's for their protection. Spay or neuter them as well.
