In England:
A pinch of salt is half a dash, which is an 1/8 of a teaspoon

So a pinch is a 1/16 of a teaspoon.

If you are American then you could be goosed as you drink more coffee than tea though....

In weights and measures terms though, It would roughly be
about 0.3 millilters.

NOT ALOT is the answer

A pinch is generally reffered to as "three fingers". In other words what you can grasp with your thumb and first two fingers. (The other responses regarding 1/16th of a teaspoon-half an 1/8th roughly-are also pretty close)

There is no defining weight for a pinch, a pinch is what you can fit between your fingers!

around a 1/8 teaspoon.more or less. when they say this, they mean it is a optional measurement. what you can pick up be ween thumb and forefinger. usually used for things like salt or other flavorings. a dash is a larger amount;dry it could be what you can pick up with thumb and 4 fingers, liquid it would be a quick pour using a sharp forward/back movement. hope this helps. never use these with baking stuff like baking soda, baking power, yeast, etc. baking is allot more chemical reaction,so it should be exact.
