Then just out of the blue it will will tune in perfectly. I'll be driving down the road and bam! It stops working. Please any advice you have I could use any. I've tried screwing with the antena and nothing seems to help

the antenna plug is not hooked up tight in the back. its about 1/4 inch round and is black. most hook into the head from the right side.

its why you get some stations not all. you get stations with close radio towers or strong radio towers. and you get all very faint because its receiving on a 6 inch antenna in the stereo instead of the 4 feet of cord plus 2 foot antenna. when it just bam pops of its cause it lost its connection from a little bump or vibration. check it out and let me know.

The first problem is its a stock radio in a Ford FUCKIS, there could be several problems or one. First try to see if it is plugged into the back of the head unit all of the way, second see if any bare wires are shorting out, third and last option buy a range booster, or antenna booster.

check the wire connection coming to the backside from the antenna. If it has an electric telescoping antenna, it might be gettig stuck on some days.

That problem is common with Ford factory radios. Its best that you get another radio. If the one you have is under warranty the \n have it fixed, if not, dump it.
