Of course he would be able to get 1 minute free to call you.. Maybe you should question him about where you stand in his life.. My ex didnt call me for a while, and he said it was because he was too 'busy'.. I found out later he was busy driving around with his friends checking out girls.

Perhaps you should consider not calling him anymore.
If he was interested in you - he would call.
If you don't want to give him up then...
find someone else to keep you occupied while you're waiting for his phone calls.
