Assuming you're a guy, so you're not pregnant....
It sounds like vertigo. The same exact thing happened to me. Just out of the blue! Is the room spinning at all? Do you have any ringing in the ears? Are you having trouble focussing on objects when you're sitting, standing or lying still? Lay down with your head to one side and have someone look at your eyes while you focus on an object. If there are any jerky movements with your eyes, you most likely have vertigo (the most common form being BPPV - benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, caused by calcium carbonate crystals that dislodge and bang against the nerve ending in the semi-circular canals in your ear). The only way I was able to stop it was by laying down on my stomach with my head resting to the left (so apparently it's my right inner ear that's the affected one, as it's the affected ear downward that causes the vertigo). If it *is* vertigo for you, try laying down the same way and resting your head in one direction and then the other. Whichever ear is affected, the dizziness will stop when you're lying on the opposite side.
If it's *not* vertigo, it could be a drop in blood sugar. You may be hypoglycemic (or even borderline). Eating a complex carbohydrate (such as oatmeal or whole wheat toast) should make you feel better almost instantly.
It could also be a blood pressure issue, though I don't think nausea is a common symptom of this. At any rate, you should absolutely go to your doctor and report all your symptoms, when they happen, how long they last, what stops them, etc. The more details you have, the better your doctor can help you.
Good luck!

it may have been low blood pressure. When you have been in one position for a long time and then move quickly you get dizzy and can sometimes faint. My advise go to a doctor and get checked out because it can sometimes mask another condition. I'm sure all will be fine but get checked anyway

Blood sugar or blood pressure.
Get both checked
Drink lots of water (preferably salt+sugar mixture)and rest for a while and see. When you feel ok then go and see a doctor

If it persists go see your doc, it could be an infection of your inner ear.
