Well, I've had three children and it depends on a few things really, like, are you breastfeeding? Because most people don't have periods while they are, but you could still get pregnant again, so be careful. If your not breastfeeding and you have been having protected sex, then I think it would be around 4-6 weeks. Its difficult to remember. If your worried speak to your health visitor or GP and take it from there. Good luck.

If you are breastfeeding you may not get your period again until your child is 6 months, it varies with every woman so don't worry. After a year, if your periods aren't back consult your doctor, although this can also be normal.

Usually 6 weeks after birth, however if you are breastfeeding then that will cause your periods to be a little bit irregular.

The answer to this depends on many aspects like breast feeding of your baby and its periodicity, your overall metabolic conditions etc. to be of main consideration. Normally, depending on the biological conditions, period could be resumed normally between 40 to 90 days. As there is no specific standard and also when you are sure for yourself that that you have not acted in any manner restricting your period by any acts, you need not have to worry. It'll resume when it is to be so!

Mostly when you breastfeed your period stays away longer. It did with me and I have breastfed all four of my children very long but my period didn't start until 6 months after I gave birth.

Since you are paying so much money for the baby doctor. Why don't you ask them as they are the ones who tells you when your baby will see the world. We are common people & may give you the wrong answers sometime which is not fair to you.Got my point?

you should of had your period right after delivery, but if you had stopped that flow, it should start up about four weeks after the stop, but if you don't have it, and you go for your six week appointment, they usually take a urine sample and you could be pregnant again.
that is what happened to me after my third child, so i have to boys who is 10 months and 1 week apart in age.
good luck and have it checked out.

I think that you can count the date forty days after birth as a first day for a period; count the normal way from there, or thereabouts.
